Hospital staff

The nursing staff's mission is to provide you with the most dedicated care and to give you the help, support and comfort you may need. Don't hesitate to call on them. Staff are identified and their professional clothing is colour-coded to identify their function.

Identity monitoring and data protection

Identitovigilance is a system for monitoring and managing the risks associated with patient identification. Consequently, for the safety of each patient throughout their stay:

  • The patient's identity card or passport and health insurance card are requested on admission.
  • An identification bracelet is placed in the care unit.

A checklist guide for patients in the operating theatre has been drawn up by the user representatives. This document aims to encourage your participation by informing you about this process. The repeated checks on your identity and the nature of the operation should not worry you ; on the contrary, they should reassure you that the precautions taken are rigorous.

Your personal data is collected throughout your treatment. It is stored securely on our information systems in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (RGPD). You can find the RGPD information note here.

If you would like to know your rights as a user, you can consult our Patient rights and information section.

Pain

The nursing staff, accompanied by the algology nurse, are committed to managing your pain using special equipment and to giving you all the information and support you need.

The nurses will help you to assess your pain, so thatyour treatment can be adapted if necessary. Your participation is important, because the more information you can provide about your pain, the more quickly and effectively your carers will be able to relieve you.

A Pain Management Committee (Comité de Lutte contre la Douleur - CLUD ) is in place within the hospital toorganise and coordinate the fight against pain.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask the department manager. You can also find the Ministry of Health's information sheet on pain here.

Meals

Menus are prepared with the utmost care, taking into account medical prescriptions relating to different diets and your dietary restrictions (religious or otherwise).
If you are on a diet, please tell the nurse as soon as you arrive.
In order to comply fully with medical prescriptions, we recommend that you do not bring any food or drink to patients without prior authorisation from the surgeons or the nurse in charge of the ward. The consumption of alcoholic beverages is strictly forbidden in the establishment.
Hot and cold drinks dispensers are available throughout the clinic.

In the event of fire, staff are trained to ensure your safety. Notify them immediately of any outbreak of fire.
Instructions and evacuation plans are posted in all public areas and in your room.
It is forbidden to possess firearms or weapons, illegal substances, alcohol or any other dangerous substance. You will be asked to hand over any flammable products to the staff.

Silence

Silence is one of the keys to patient comfort and recovery. It is therefore essential throughout the clinic. You and your visitors are asked to respect it.
