Preparing for your stay

Below you will find the main information you need to prepare for your stay in our establishment. When you are pre-admitted, you will be given a welcome booklet.

Hygiene

Before your hospitalisation :

  • Follow the pre-operative preparation protocols prescribed by the doctor: skin preparation, bacteriological screening, dental hygiene, colonic preparation, preventive treatment, etc.
  • Respect the instructions not to wear jewellery, piercings or make-up and remove all nail varnish.
  • Remove dentures and hearing aids, as well as glasses and contact lenses.

It isforbidden to shave the surgical site with a mechanical razor, as this will necessarily result in your operation being postponed.

Medication

Any current medication must be reported to your anaesthetist during the pre-anaesthetic consultation and to the nursing staff as soon as you arrive. In accordance with regulations, and to avoid any interaction with medication, any personal medication you bring with you to hospital will be kept by the nursing staff and returned to you on your discharge. Under no circumstancesshould you continue your treatment on your own while you are in hospital.

You can access the first official public information website on medicines.

Dental and hearing prostheses

If you wish to keep your prostheses (hearing aids, dental prostheses and contact lenses) and/or our glasses during your stay, remember to bring a storage box or ask the staff to label it with your name beforehand.
We advise you not to put them in a handkerchief, compress or any other item that could be thrown away.

Valuables

We advise you not to keep any valuables (jewellery, money, chequebook, etc.) in your room. All private rooms and double rooms are equipped with a safe, and we strongly advise you to keep your valuables there (particularly when you are in the operating theatre). We can only be held responsible for items or valuables entrusted to us against a deposit slip.

Clothes to bring

You should bring the following items of clothing with you on the day of your admission to hospital:

  • Underwear.
  • Pyjamas.
  • Dressing gown.
  • Slippers, toiletries, etc. including towels and flannels.

If you have chosen a private room, certain accessories are included in the room rate. Please refer to the price list for hotel comfort.
